Thought provoking and liberating May 19, 2008 Reviewer: Anonymous person from United States   I could not wait to order these. Having already read the book twice I first went through it with a small group of people in their 20s. Each meeting long and provocative discussions were generated just by reading a couple chapters per week. As a group we were being challenged by the ideas in the book to take Jesus out of the box we had packed Him into and explore the relational aspect of our faith more deeply. Soon the entire church began reading the book together. A series of sermons was planned based on concepts in the book and a panel was established for interactive question and answer time. I recognized the power within this resource to ignite a deep love and understanding of Christ in all stages of believers. If you are looking for another self help Christian book with bulleted ideas, this one's probably not for you. But if you are looking to reaquaint yourself with the Jesus in the Gospels, your first love as John would say in Revelations, then search no further. Was this review helpful to you?
